Data Centers

Northern NJ is one of the largest data center corridors in the world (Secaucus, Weehawken, Piscataway). Precision cleaning of raised floor systems, electrical components, and cooling infrastructure without moisture or static risk.

The Challenge

Data center equipment operates in controlled environments where moisture, particulate contamination, and static discharge cause failures. Traditional cleaning methods introduce all three: pressure washing creates moisture, sweeping generates particulate, and many cleaning tools generate static. Chemical cleaning introduces VOC fumes and residue that damage sensitive electronics.

Laser cleaning is dry, generates no static discharge, and captures all vaporized material in HEPA filtration. It operates safely adjacent to energized equipment with standard laser safety zones.

Applications

USE CASE 01

Raised Floor and Subfloor Cleaning

Remove zinc whiskers, dust accumulation, and corrosion from raised floor tiles, pedestals, and subfloor surfaces. No moisture. No particulate dispersal. No airborne contamination of server rows.

USE CASE 02

Cooling Infrastructure

Clean CRAC/CRAH unit coils, chilled water piping, and cooling tower components. Remove scale, corrosion, and biological growth. Prepare for recoating or requalification.
USE CASE 03

Electrical Infrastructure

Clean bus bars, switchgear enclosures, UPS cabinets, and power distribution components. Remove atmospheric contamination and corrosion without introducing moisture or conductive particles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Laser cleaning operates with a defined safety zone (typically 10-15 feet for the laser beam). Adjacent energized equipment is not affected. We coordinate with your facilities team on hot-aisle/cold-aisle access, lockout/tagout requirements, and maintenance window scheduling.
Zinc whiskers on raised floor tiles and galvanized surfaces are a known cause of short circuits in data centers. Laser cleaning removes zinc whiskers by vaporization without dispersing them into the airstream, which is the primary risk of mechanical removal methods.
